About the Cell
The POCSO Awareness Cell is dedicated to ensuring that every student in the school feels safe, protected, and aware of their rights under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. The Cell aims to sensitize students, teachers, and parents about child safety and to create a supportive environment for reporting and addressing concerns.

Objectives

• Spread awareness about the POCSO Act and child protection policies.
• Provide a safe platform for children to express concerns.
• Conduct workshops for teachers, parents, and students on child safety.
• Ensure timely redressal of complaints as per legal norms.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Students: Participate actively in awareness campaigns and training sessions.
• Teacher Mentor: Facilitate sessions, ensure sensitization, and act as first point of contact for students.
• Coordinator: Maintain confidential records of complaints and ensure proper reporting.
• Counsellor: Provide emotional and psychological support to students in need.
